These terms cover your use of GameSlate, the website, web app and mobile apps run by GameSlate LLC, an Arizona company ("GameSlate", "we"). By creating an account or using GameSlate you agree to them. Questions: hello@gameslate.co.
What GameSlate is
GameSlate is scheduling and payments software for youth baseball. Coaches, leagues, umpires and training facilities use it to schedule games, lessons and clinics, and to collect payments from families. GameSlate is the software; the coach, team, league or facility you deal with provides the baseball services and is responsible for them.
Accounts
You must be 18 or older to create an account. Parents and guardians manage their players' profiles; players are shown by first name and last initial. Keep your login secure and tell us if you think someone else has used your account.
Payments
- Card payments are processed by Stripe. GameSlate never sees or stores your full card number.
- Payments for team fees, lessons, clinics and Video Analysis go to the coach's or facility's own Stripe account. Coaches and facilities who accept payments agree to the Stripe Connected Account Agreement.
- GameSlate keeps a platform fee from each payment the coach or facility receives. Families pay the price shown at checkout.
- Card charges appear on your statement as GAMESLATE.
- Some teams collect fees outside GameSlate (for example Venmo or Zelle) and mark them paid in the app. Those payments are between you and the team; GameSlate doesn't process them.
Refunds and cancellations
- Lessons and clinics: each facility sets its cancellation and no-show policy, which is shown before you book. Cancellations follow that policy. If a coach or facility cancels, you get a full refund or lesson credit.
- Team fees: refunds are decided by the team's coach or admin. Contact them first.
- Video Analysis subscriptions: billed monthly; cancel any time from Lesson analysis. You keep access until the end of the month you paid for. Partial months aren't refunded.
- If you can't resolve a charge with the coach or facility, or you think a charge is wrong, email hello@gameslate.co and we'll help within two business days.
Lesson videos
Coaches and facilities that record lessons are responsible for getting the parent's or guardian's permission to record and share clips of a player. Clips are visible only to the facility's staff and that player's guardians. A guardian can ask the facility or us to delete a clip at any time.
Acceptable use
Don't use GameSlate to harass anyone, post false information, contact players directly instead of their guardians, or try to access accounts or data that aren't yours. We may suspend accounts that do.
Disclaimers and liability
GameSlate is provided as is. We work to keep schedules, notifications and payments accurate and available but can't guarantee they always will be. GameSlate isn't responsible for games, lessons, fields, injuries, or disputes between families and coaches, leagues or facilities. To the extent the law allows, our total liability to you is limited to the fees GameSlate received from you in the 12 months before the claim.
Changes and law
We may update these terms and will post the new date here; for significant changes we'll tell you in the app. These terms are governed by Arizona law.
